We are looking for talented Management Consultants to join our team. Possessing a track record in the project management and delivery of strategic and operational improvements within complex organisations, the applicant will have experience or understanding across Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear, or Infrastructure markets. They will possess strong P3M and change management skills, with a focus on helping to improve Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operational capabilities for large clients. As a senior consultant you will play a pivotal role in providing guidance and expertise to clients across various industries. You will be responsible for leading work packages, supporting complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative optimisation and transformation solutions. With your experience, you will contribute to business development efforts, be responsible for mentoring junior consultants, and support the success of the consulting practice. The role will typically report to a Manager and is responsible for the provision of strategic and operational consulting expertise to solve client challenges, increase value, and maximise business efficiency and profitability. Using established processes whilst working with the client’s senior team and support staff, the role will assist in the delivery of project outputs, insights and recommendations to meet client needs and deliver impact and value.

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Engagement Delivery- Lead and project manage consulting deliverables from initiation to completion.
- Understand and support project teams in the project management and delivery of strategic and operational consulting outputs, considering client business objectives, challenges, and industry trends.
- Take ownership of specific project deliverables and project management artefacts.
- Apply best practices to present, communicate, and disseminate deliverables appropriately, using a range of consulting tools and techniques.
- Advocate strong project governance standards across deliverables, ensuring quality and consistency and supporting the use of common toolsets where applicable.
- Collaborate with clients to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions based upon specialist expertise and knowledge.
- Ensure high client satisfaction through effective stakeholder management, communication, and support in the timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, establishing a reputation as a trusted advisor, continuing to promote Squarcle’s brand and reputation.
- Take responsibility for their own development, ensuring their skills and technical abilities encompass the latest delivery techniques.
- Foster knowledge sharing and best practices across the business.
- Conduct performance reviews and annual appraisals for all direct reports.
- Lead, coach and mentor team members.
- Contribute to effective working in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where individuals are recognised for their contribution.
- Support in the wider development of capabilities, products, and services.
- Share knowledge of data and technology with the wider team and external stakeholders, including tools and techniques, to enable a skill increase across the wider team and to assist clients with their use of any tools created for them.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and the wider competitive landscape.
- Adhere to Squarcle policies and processes.
- Support in the development of thought leadership initiatives (articles, white papers, industry events).
- Support the business development activities of Squarcle such as pursuit development and production of thought leadership.
- Develop and refine Squarcle methods and processes.
- Support wider team activities e.g., knowledge sessions, recruitment etc.
- Deputise for the manager during periods of absence.
- Three years or more experience of delivering strategic and operational consulting services to clients in either a market relevant or Procurement & Supply Chain environment.
- Strong strategic and analytical consulting skills, including problem solving, critical thinking, analytical innovation, and a creative mindset.
- Well‑developed core consulting skills (research, analysis, presentation, attention to detail) with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances and to creatively solve client issues.
- Intellectual curiosity, exceptional people skills, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to be self‑directed team player and a core contributor to team outputs, supporting and developing our capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex and challenging environment.
- Educated to degree level or has an equivalent professional qualification.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Suite; specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must hold SC clearance or can successfully attain this at commencement of the role.
- Chartered Membership within a related field (e.g., logistics, procurement, supply chain)
- Project Management Qualification (PRINCE2, APM, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
- Knowledge of PowerBI
- An understanding of the Aerospace & Defence market
