About Squad Goals: Squad Goals is building a system that helps athletes move from performance into ownership. At our core is a simple belief: athletes are more than performers; they are creators, leaders and builders of what comes next. We unlock athlete identity to open pathways of creation into platforms, IP, communities and ventures; working with clubs, athletes and partners to build long-term value across the ecosystem. Through our Collective of athletes, operators, creators and technologists, we don’t just create content; we capture stories, shape narratives and build cultural momentum around what’s next in sport.
The Role: We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Intern to help bring the Squad Goals ecosystem to life. This isn’t just about posting content. It’s about understanding stories, shaping narratives and helping express the shift from performance into ownership. You’ll play a hands-on role in capturing athlete journeys, building our voice, and helping translate what we’re creating into content that resonates across sport and culture.
Time Commitment:
- Approx 2 days per week (flexible)
- Initial internship: 3 months
- Potential to extend to 6 months
- Opportunity to evolve into a paid role as Squad Goals grows
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ecosystem Storytelling: Capture and translate athlete journeys, founder stories and behind-the-scenes moments. Turn conversations and real-world activity into content that reflects our mission. Help document what’s being built across the ecosystem.
- Content Creation: Edit short-form video for social (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts). Write captions that feel human, sharp and aligned to our tone. Shape storytelling formats that bring depth — not just surface-level content.
- Channel Growth: Support growth of Squad Goals channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok). Help organise and evolve content calendars. Support athlete and partner channels where relevant.
- Creative Development: Bring ideas for new content formats and series. Help define and evolve our visual and narrative style. Contribute to how Squad Goals shows up in the world.
Who This Role Is For: This role is for someone who:
- Sees sport beyond performance
- Understands that stories shape culture
- Is curious about athletes as creators, not just performers
- Loves content, storytelling and digital culture
- Brings ideas and takes initiative
- Wants to be part of building something, not just observing it
You don’t need loads of experience; perspective, curiosity and intent matter more.
Important Note: This is currently an unpaid internship designed to give real exposure to building within the sports and creator ecosystem. As Squad Goals grows, there is clear potential for this role to evolve into a paid position for someone who becomes an integral part of the journey.
Why This Is a Great Opportunity: You’ll gain insight into:
- how athlete identity translates into content and culture
- how stories become platforms, communities and ventures
- the intersection of sport, creativity and ownership
- building and growing channels with purpose
You won’t just create content; you’ll help shape the narrative.
How to Apply: Instead of a CV, we want to understand how you think. Please send:
- A short video (1–2 minutes) introducing yourself
- Your favourite sport and why
- One sports social media channel you think stands out, and what makes it work
