Key Responsibilities
- Manage programmes across multiple teams within a designated geographical area to ensure resources are fully engaged and operating efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Operations Management team to allocate projects to appropriately skilled teams and program them within correct timescales.
- Work closely with the Client's Programme and Scheduling Team to secure all required permits, maximizing productivity and minimizing the risk of Section 74 penalties and programme overruns.
- Capture and report weekly delivery statistics, including completed works and future forecasts.
- Identify changes to the tendered design and gather supporting evidence for compensation events.
- Collaborate with the Commercial team to ensure compensation events and supporting evidence are submitted within required contractual timescales.
- Support the production and maintenance of weekly performance dashboards and reporting.
- Maintain daily communication with Site Managers to understand the progress and status of all active projects.
- Work with the Area Manager to develop and maintain a sustainable programme of works for all operational teams.
- Ensure operatives with the appropriate skills and qualifications are allocated to each project, utilising available skills and competency data.
- Attend client programme, planning and coordination meetings as required.
- Liaise with Site Managers and clients to align permits with programme requirements and provide sufficient duration for the completion of works.
- Provide relevant programme and performance data to the Client Contract Manager when required.
- Gather and report weekly performance statistics from Site Managers, sharing updates with the wider operational team.
- Develop, communicate and implement agreed processes and best practices to support operational objectives.
- Escalate any programme impacts or delays to the Area Manager, ensuring all supporting evidence is gathered to support any potential compensation event.
- Attend weekly operational meetings and highlight any risks, concerns or issues that may affect programme delivery and output targets.
- Support other operational activities necessary to maintain productivity, including site moves, plant hires/off-hires, breakdowns and PPE requirements.
- Development & Learning Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Lead Programme Manager and the wider Operations Management Team to gain a thorough understanding of programme management principles and best practice.
- Develop an understanding of contractual requirements, compensation events and commercial processes.
- Build effective working relationships with clients, operational teams and internal stakeholders.
- Develop knowledge of permit requirements, project planning processes and resource allocation.
- Support the preparation and analysis of operational performance data, forecasts and dashboards.
- Participate in training, coaching and mentoring opportunities to support professional development.
- Take ownership of personal learning and continually seek opportunities to improve knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of SQS procedures, client requirements and industry regulations.
