Opportunity
We’re hiring for a Quality Inspector position in Plymouth. This is a contract opportunity in which you will be supporting first shift doing inspections once a month with travel reimbursement provided. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases (including in-process, final, and first article) to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate and utilize precision measuring instruments such as borescopes to do inspections on tubes.
- Apply sharp visual inspection skills to identify workmanship issues and product defects, including damage such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances.
- Identify and categorize nonconformities and confirm that corrective actions or rework have been properly executed.
- Receiving shipping documentation for accuracy, confirming part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data are correct.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
- Hands-on experience with borescopes.
- Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions preferred.
- Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
- Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity to handle small components and inspection equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs as required.
- Experience with FOD control programs preferred.
