Job Overview: Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationships. Provide strategic oversight to ensure the supply chain is cost-effective, efficient, and aligned with the company’s objectives. Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support business goals, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery. Oversee procurement processes, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and secure quality materials at competitive prices. Manage inventory levels to balance supply and demand while minimizing costs and avoiding shortages. Optimize logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery to customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitor performance, and address issues to maintain supply chain reliability. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the supply chain. Ensure compliance with UK regulations and company policies, and develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks. Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Use data-driven insights to monitor supply chain performance and present regular reports to senior management. Liaise with other managers such as the Warehouse Manager, Transport Manager and Stock Manager.

Key Requirements:

  • Track backorders and follow up on pending orders to keep customers informed of potential delays.

Reporting and Data Analysis

  • Generate reports on stock levels, turnover, discrepancies, and other key metrics.
  • Analyse stock data to identify trends, adjust reorder points, and improve inventory turnover.
  • Work closely with finance and operations to provide insights into inventory valuation and stockholding costs.

Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure all stock management activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming products to ensure they meet company standards.
