Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join us working with our media client to develop web applications that run on televisions. The role is on their Partner Engineering team supporting their integrations with global device manufacturers and developing systems to manage device integration
The web applications are written in NodeJS and AWS in which the successful applicant will be proficient as well as having demonstratable knowledge of Code Pipeline and Git version control. Additionally they will be a great communicator who enjoys collaborating with other teams and a team player who encourages collaboration and contribution.
Any previous experience of developing or problem solving applications on TVs running JavaScript web applications would be advantageous.
Essential Key Skills and Knowledge
You will:
- have expert knowledge of NodeJS
- have operational and practical knowledge of AWS and GitHub
- understand deployment practices with Code Pipeline
- have problem solved on TVs running JavaScript web applications (desired)
- have a strong willingness to learn and be a keen team player
- have professional experience of working in projects using Agile development processes
- have experience of writing and taking responsibility for technical documentation
Experience
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work based experience.
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer ideally with a focus on media-related projects.
- Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques and methodologies.
- Experience with providing coaching and mentoring
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios.
- Knowledge of software development tools and technologies.
- You are flexible and curious in your approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Additional information
Duration of the contract:initially 6 months with the possibility of extension contract FTC(full-time)
