SPX Radiodetection is seeking a practical and proactive Service Technician to join our dedicated team of six in Bristol. This is a hands-on role focusing primarily on service work (approx. 75%) with some repair-level tasks (approx. 25%). If you’re experienced with electronics and enjoy working in a collaborative technical environment, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
- Servicing, diagnosing faults, and calibrating electronic products using specialised test rigs
- Conducting fault diagnosis and repairs including soldering and rework
- Maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring repeatable, cost-effective methods
- Using our internal IFS system to complete administrative tasks
- Liaising with customers via phone, email, and in person as needed
- Working to productivity targets and supporting the wider service team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a similar hands-on electronics service or repair role
- Good understanding of electronics and strong soldering skills
- Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work independently
- Basic IT literacy and ability to use internal systems (training will be provided)
Working Hours & Flexibility
- Standard hours: 37 per week
