ABOUT THE ROLE
- Deliver one-to-one counselling sessions and structured DBT/CBT-informed group programmes for children and young people.
- Create safe, supportive therapeutic environments that encourage emotional expression, resilience and growth.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records including assessments, consent, session notes and evaluation tools.
- Work across schools, community settings and online platforms with flexibility, including evening delivery.
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by identifying and escalating concerns in line with policy and guidance.
- Contribute to service development through reflective practice, KPI reporting and participation in supervision and CPD.
ABOUT YOU
- You are qualified to at least Level 4 in Counselling, with a Level 5 (or equivalent) Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People.
- You are registered with BACP or UKCP and committed to maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
- You have experience delivering counselling to children and young people.
- You can deliver both individual and group therapeutic sessions, including CBT-informed and DBT-informed approaches.
- You are confident handling safeguarding concerns, maintaining confidentiality and keeping accurate clinical records.
- You’re someone who wants to grow, you’re keen to learn, open to feedback, and looking for a role where you can develop your skills and make a long-term impact.
