Working across Erdington and Perry Barr districts, you will provide essential Early Help interventions, supporting families in their homes, in community settings, and through group work. Your role will focus on empowering families to engage with support services and building tailored programmes that address their unique needs. Whether delivering evidence-based parenting programmes, facilitating group sessions, or conducting home visits, you will work to improve outcomes for children by fostering parental capacity and strengthening family relationships. You’ll also work closely with multi-agency partners, attending meetings and providing detailed assessments and reports. In this varied and rewarding role, you will actively support families with emotional

well-being, nutrition, child safety, and other critical areas, all while promoting access to wider community resources and services. As part of our committed team, you’ll help create a supportive environment where families are empowered to thrive, making a lasting and positive difference to their lives.

You have a solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures, coupled with knowledge of the Early Help process and the challenges faced by families in disadvantaged areas. Skilled in communication and reflective practice, you are adept at engaging with families, particularly those who are hard to reach, and at developing interventions that deliver measurable improvements in outcomes for children. Your ability to manage caseloads, provide home visits, and facilitate group sessions will be key to your success. You’ll also need to be confident

in using electronic recording systems and have strong organisational skills to balance the demands of a varied role. Above all, you’ll bring qualities such as resilience, empathy, self-motivation, and a commitment to delivering excellent services to children and families.
