Are you a hands-on marketer who loves bringing campaigns and content to life? We’re looking for a Marketing Manager - (Content & Campaigns) who thrives on delivering high-quality, multi-channel marketing campaigns, managing every step from content creation to flawless execution and performance optimisation. In this role, you’ll be responsible for producing standout content, building structured content ecosystems, and ensuring every asset is delivered on time, on brand, and aligned to commercial goals. You’ll coordinate across teams, manage agency partners, and oversee the smooth delivery of campaigns that reach the right audiences and fuel measurable demand.

If you’re someone who takes pride in making things happen, creating meaningful content, managing complex deliverables, and ensuring campaigns run with precision and impact, this role gives you the platform to drive real results on a global scale.

About us: Based in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, SPT Labtech makes products that transform the way scientists work. For decades, our expert scientists, engineers and business innovators have provided scientists with world-leading, innovative solutions for liquid handling, sample preparation, and sample management that help accelerate research and make a real difference to human health. We work collaboratively with our customers, building trusted relationships that enable us to deliver exceptional, personalised experiences designed for real-world challenges in the lab.

Want to be part of a team that’s truly making a difference? This job contributes to organisational success by:

  • Architecting the Campaign Roadmap: Defining the how and why behind integrated campaigns to drive MQLs, SQLs, and customer lifetime value.
  • Commercial Alignment: Aligning marketing outputs with sales objectives, ensuring every piece of content serves a specific stage of the commercial funnel.
  • Brand Stewardship: Elevating the company’s voice in the market as a thought leader in Precision Liquid Handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrated Strategy & Execution: Lead the end-to-end development of multi-channel global campaigns (digital, social, events, and PR). You won't just create content; you will define the distribution strategy that ensures it reaches the right persona at the right time.
  • Content Architecture: Move beyond blog posts to create a sophisticated content ecosystem. This includes high-value whitepapers, technical pillars, and sales enablement tools that position the company as a premier industry authority.
  • Performance & ROI Ownership: Take full accountability for campaign performance. Rather than just reporting stats, you will analyse data to provide actionable insights, pivot strategies, and demonstrate marketing’s contribution to the bottom line.
  • Stakeholder Management & Influence: Act as a strategic partner to the Sales and Product teams, translating technical product roadmaps into compelling commercial narratives.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage the campaign budget, ensuring optimal spend across channels. Lead and mentor junior team members and manage agency relationships to ensure high-quality delivery on time and on budget.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to ensure our value proposition remains differentiated and resonant with our core personas.

Essential skills and attributes:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture while maintaining a foundation in high-quality content execution.
  • Advanced Copywriting & Narrative Building: Expert-level ability to turn complex, technical information into persuasive, benefit-driven storytelling.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Comfortable using CRM and marketing automation data to justify spend and refine campaign tactics.
  • Stakeholder management: Confident in presenting strategies and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Agility: Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Experience & Technical Requirements:

  • Existing content marketing experience with depth in Business to Business (B2B), ideally in Life Science, Engineering or manufacturing.
  • An understanding of marketing automation platforms (we use HubSpot) to maximise investment in content through automation, segmentation and personalisation.
