The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
Salary: £17.97 - £20.60 per hour depending on qualification and experience.
Hours: Contracted 39 hours per week Monday to Friday. Flexibility required as a 24-hour operation.
We’re on the lookout for 2 enthusiastic Approved Driving Instructors (ADI) who are passionate about helping people grow and perform at their very best. As a Driver Trainer, you’ll play an exciting and influential role—supporting, motivating, and inspiring our drivers every day. You’ll deliver top-quality training across theory and practical skills, remedial coaching, route knowledge, company procedures, vehicle familiarisation, and professional service standards. You’ll champion safe, confident driving, stay ahead of the latest road traffic legislation and company policies, and proudly represent our values while helping every individual reach their full potential.
Duties include:
- To coach and support colleagues on driving best practice.
- To ensure delivery service standards are met by carrying out driver quality audits and in-service checks.
- Deliver driver training programs covering theory, practical skills and vehicle familiarisation.
- To deliver classroom modules in areas of driving standards and continued professional development.
- To assist with the creation of new training documents.
- Act as an ambassador of SPS values, behaviours and organisation objectives.
- To ensure new drivers reach the required standard as set out by the DVSA and complete full induction.
- Provide behavioural safety training to all colleagues across the business.
- Support colleagues’ development through mentoring and identifying growth opportunities.

Requirements:
- Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) with a full Driving Licence, PCV Licence and CPC (minimum 3+ years).
- Strong customer service skills, teamwork, and experience in high-pressure environments.
- Knowledge of driver regulations, compliance, driver hours, and the Working Time Directive.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Flexible approach to working hours within a 24/7 operation.
- Knowledge of the transport sector.
- Advanced Driving Level 2 or equivalent.
- First Aid trained.
