As a non‑clinical, strategically focused leader, you will align SPS’s medical assistance services with sales, insurance, and client requirements, acting as the primary commercial interface between Medical Operations, Sales, and Insurance partners, ensuring the commercial viability, operational deliverability, and margin protection of our services.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary commercial and strategic link between Medical Operations, Sales teams, insurance carriers, underwriters, enterprise clients and broker partners.
- Shape and own the commercial positioning of SPS medical assistance offerings, including product tiers, scope and value proposition, ensuring alignment with broader business strategy, growth objectives, and insurance market requirements.
- Own medical service SLAs from a commercial, contractual, and performance perspective, ensuring they are defined, contractually aligned, operationally achievable and financially sustainable.
- Maintain rate cards, pricing structures, service descriptions and scope documents; ensure consistency across client contracts, policy wordings, sales materials and proposals.
- Lead or support client, insurer and partner engagement, including underwriter due diligence processes, capability reviews and audits, and service performance and contractual discussions.
- Support sales proposals, tenders and RFP responses, providing clear, credible explanations of medical service structures and ensuring commitments align with operational capability and cost assumptions.
- Own medical service margin and work closely with Finance and Operations to support revenue planning, forecasting and pricing strategy; identify and mitigate cost leakage, margin erosion and commercial risk arising from misaligned contracts or SLAs.
- Establish and maintain a structured feedback loop between Medical Operations, Sales and Insurance Partners, translating operational insights into improved product design, refined pricing and SLAs, and stronger commercial decision‑making.
- Oversee reporting quality for medical‑led accounts from a commercial and contractual perspective; ensure commercial compliance with client contracts, insurer requirements and internal governance standards.

- No clinical authority or medical decision‑making responsibility.
- No patient care or medical governance accountability.
- Full ownership of commercial, contractual, and product governance for medical assistance services.
Required Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom without visa sponsorship.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in medical services management, healthcare operations, or insurance‑linked assistance programs.
- Proven ability to collaborate across operations, sales and external partner organizations to drive service excellence.
- Experience managing SLA‑driven service delivery and performance metrics, operations within insurance or regulated healthcare environments, and P&L responsibility and margin optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MHA, etc.) preferred.
- Experience working with insurance underwriters and brokers, global assistance or emergency response organisations, and NHS senior operational, commissioning, transformation or service leadership roles.
- Experience in ISO‑aligned or governance‑driven environments.
- Commercial acumen with strong financial awareness; confident, credible senior stakeholder engagement; ability to translate operational delivery into commercial structures; detail‑oriented contractual discipline.
- Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, high‑risk, global environments.
