Are you a skilled Bench Joiner with a passion for creating high-quality timber windows and doors? SPS Timber Windows, an award-winning company, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bench Joiner to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate traditional and CNC woodworking machines with precision.
  • Utilize hand tools and woodworking machinery, including tenoning machines, spindle moulders, and planning machines.
  • Program and operate CNC and/or window line machines (in-house training provided for the right candidate).
  • Craft traditional box sash windows, casement windows, and French doors from start to finish with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Assist in manufacturing, glazing, and finishing of premium timber windows and doors.
  • Collaborate with the workshop manager in planning and organizing production schedules.
  • Supervise other team members when required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in joinery workshops.
  • Familiarity with traditional and CNC woodworking machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient in English with good communication skills.
  • Forklift license and driving license are advantageous.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8 am - 4.30 pm).
  • Starting basic annual salary up to £32,000,00 +/- gross per annum (dependent on skills/experience).
  • Overtime opportunities on weekdays and Saturdays with competitive rates.
  • Profit-related bonus scheme.
  • Monthly salary payments.
  • 28 days paid holidays per annum (including 8 bank holidays).

Additional Information:

  • Onsite work may be required occasionally for window and door installations.
  • Relevant training opportunities provided (CITB members).
