We are currently looking to hire a Program Manager, Operations to join our Corporate Team (SPS Global) in Hereford, England, United Kingdom. This position requires working on‑site from our Hereford, UK Headquarters. This is a full‑time position. Work hours include days, evenings and weekends. The position is assigned shifts on a rotational basis, together with periods of point‑of‑contact availability. Program managers are the supervisory element of the Operations Center, which operates 24/7. Program managers will work a Monday to Friday pattern of early and late shifts (07:00‑15:00 and 14:00‑22:00) with the requirement to be the overnight point of contact and weekend point of contact once a week, every five weeks (Program Managers are given Monday and Tuesday off following the weekend point of contact commitment).

SPS Operations Manager has the daily responsibility for running the Operations Centre (OC). The role is to manage the OC and the personnel employed within, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the standard required. It is paramount that the Program Manager executes their responsibilities and manages all tasks in line with the terms set by SPS and in line with the client’s requirements. This position is primarily office‑based within the UK, but it is anticipated that there will be occasions when they will be expected to travel within the UK and overseas. During periods of non‑operational deployment, they will be expected to manage the operation on site, wherever possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with co‑workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Co‑ordinate and provide oversight of all security‑related issues and incidents concerning SPS operations.
  • Implement procedures and protocols in the event of an incident or emergency.
  • Maintain awareness of future planning requirements.
  • Day‑to‑day liaison and planning of tasks with clients, SPS consultants, sub‑contractors and third parties.
  • Provide clients with cost proposals.
  • Evacuation coordination as required.
  • Manage co‑workers operating within the GRC Operations Room, including administration and roster, overtime and annual leave requirements.
  • Formulate and maintain standard operating procedures for clients.
  • Provide a standby point of contact to cover 24/7 for all GRC‑related requirements.
  • Facilitate training exercises for clients.
  • Monitor all intelligence, travel alerts and logistical reports to provide timely and accurate guidance to clients.
  • Support embedding security advisors.
  • Oversee training for self and RC requirements.
  • Support the Ops Director Global Assistance as required.
  • Undertake any duties directed by the SPS/Concentric SLT.

Required Qualifications:

  • Operational experience based on handling and management of security‑related incidents.
  • IT literate, including Word, Excel and Apple Mac operating systems.
  • Occasional travel away from GRC.
