Trade Counter Assistant

Location: Fairfield Industrial Estate, Cardiff, CF15 8LA

Salary: £25,062.60 per annum + performance bonus

Hours: 8:00am to 16:00pm Mon-Fri

SPS Envirowall is a specialist merchant company and we are looking for someone to join our small trade counter team, this is a varied, hands on full time role. Dealing with trade professionals and retail customers ensuring orders are processed accurately and providing excellent customer service.This is an end-to-end customer service position and as such duties will include ensuring customers are served promptly and efficiently both at the counter and in the warehouse when required.

General role responsibilities:

· Responsible for trade counter sales, confidently communicating product features and benefits

· Support the delivery of sales targets, developing and maintaining positive customer relationships

· Provide exceptional customer service levels, both in person and on the telephone

· Maintain branch standards, housekeeping and merchandising

· Ensure compliance with health and safety, processes and procedures

· Picking, packing and loading of customer orders

Your key tasks will be:

· Excellent customer service to both external and internal customers. In person and on the telephone

· Processing sales and credits, following company process

· Cash handling and banking

· Support branch emails and communications

· Presentation of the trade counter area

· Branch records, retention and filing compliance

· General warehouse duties as required

· Support the wider branch team as required

The right candidate will have:

· Hands-on customer focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers

· FLT licence an advantage

· Good organisational and administration skills

· Working knowledge of MS Office

· Experience in a similar role within a trade/builder\’s merchant environment would be an advantage.

This position is ideally suited to someone with previous experience within business administration, has good GCSE or A level results, with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
