Schroders Capital Real Estate is looking for a Real Estate Research Analyst to join its dedicated research function. The team works closely with real estate fund managers, local investment and distribution teams, developing strategies for our investment programs, providing thought leadership and assisting with the preparation of client and prospects’ reports and presentations. Your role will involve data collation, the production of research content to support the business and the analysis of real estate occupational and capital markets. The research team is well regarded within the industry, and it is a great opportunity to further develop your career in real estate and investment research.
What you’ll do
- Track and collate a range of economic and real estate market indicators for reporting, presentations and market analysis with a focus on Europe.
- Support the production of real estate market projections across occupier and capital markets for use in view formation and asset underwriting.
- Support the senior staff in the production of content including specific market analysis, periodic publications and thought pieces.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree from a top university in economics, finance, mathematics, geography, or real estate-related course.
- Experience in a real estate focussed advisory firm, research provider and/or investment manager.
- A keen interest in commercial real estate and a good understanding of real estate and financial market data and data providers.
- Sound working knowledge of real estate investment and valuation methodologies.
- Strong Excel, Visual Basic and PowerPoint skills.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Experience in producing real estate market projections.
- Familiarity with statistical and/or GIS software packages and AI tools including their application to garner efficiencies and additional insights including the automated production of content.
- Keen grasp of emerging market trends such as institutionalising new real estate segments and key structural economic, financial and social trends and themes impacting the asset class.
- Proficiency in an additional (European) language to English.
