We are looking to appoint a dynamic, creative and people‑centred person to lead the management of SEND provision across our school. Sprowston Community Academy is committed to being an inclusive learning environment and is actively supporting SENDV students and their families to enjoy the best possible experience both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall SEND provision across the school.
- Work closely with the Assistant Headteacher for SENDV, the EHCP Manager and the Interventions Manager.
- Lead, develop and support an experienced team of teaching assistants.
- Collaborate with students, families and multi‑agency partners to ensure SEND needs are understood and coherent plans are in place.
- Promote the school’s inclusive ethos within the classroom and the wider community.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with external agencies to support students’ outcomes.
Qualifications
- Significant experience working within the SEND sector.
- Proven track record of leading and developing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and families.
- Thorough knowledge of SEND and the Code of Practice.
- Resilient, resourceful, rigorous and determined, with a respectful approach to teamwork.
- Prepared to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and meet safeguarding requirements.
