About Sproot Baby

Launched in August 2023, Sproot Baby is a purpose-driven startup on a mission to bring circularity to the baby clothing industry. We run a marketplace for selling and upcycling baby clothing and we have built a business model that actually rewards parents for returning used items from any brand.

Why does this matter? Babies grow 10% every three months, creating a relentless cycle of new purchases and disposal. The current industry recycles just 1% of baby textiles. We are changing that, with a goal of upcycling 2 garments for every 1 we sell. We sell our own range of quality basics, and we incentivise customers to return used clothing, keeping it out of landfill and back into the hands of families who need it.

Our mission: helping parents today & the planet tomorrow.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on, reliable individual to join our small team as a Flexible Part-Time Warehouse & Logistics Assistant. This is a ground-floor opportunity at a fast-moving startup where you will be involved in the physical backbone of our circular supply chain—from collecting clothing at our nursery partner sites to getting orders packed and out the door. This role offers a baseline of one shift per week (scheduled based on weekly workload), with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts as business needs scale and your schedule allows.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Sorting and packing outgoing orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Checking inventory and keeping stock records up to date.
  • Collecting clothing donations and returns from our nursery partner locations around London.
  • Helping maintain a clean, organised warehouse environment.
  • Supporting the wider team with ad hoc logistics tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

This role is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in sustainable startups or for part-time work with clear output. To apply, a valid full UK driving licence is essential, ideally with access to a car (expenses paid) as you will be collecting from partner sites around London. Beyond that, we are looking for someone reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently, with good attention to detail for inventory checks and packing. A practical, can-do attitude goes a long way here, with bonus points for an interest in sustainability. While we do not require previous experience, any expertise in warehouse, logistics, or retail stock environment is helpful. Please note that our unit is based in Camberwell, London, and, due to the nature of working with nurseries, be ready to undergo or provide an existing background check on request.

What We Offer

A flexible, part-time contract (1 shift per week baseline). You will have the opportunity to be part of a meaningful startup from the very early stages, gaining hands-on experience across operations in a growing impact business. Best of all, you will be working alongside a friendly, mission-driven team that genuinely cares about what it is building.
