We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Sprinz and Nash - Thame on a full‑time basis. This position could be full time or part‑time to fit around childcare or personal pursuits. Sprinz and Nash is a long‑established Veterinary Hospital in the lovely rural market town of Thame. We are recruiting with the aim of maintaining our high clinical standards and giving a rewarding work/life balance.

We provide our own in‑patients care, which will enable anyone with an ECC interest to further their experience, whilst our emergency OOH is provided by VetsNow. The hospital at Thame provides excellent facilities including dental x‑ray, in‑house laboratory, endoscopy, ultrasound, digital x‑ray, separate dog and cat and isolation wards to name a few. We are staffed by a friendly, forward‑thinking and supportive team of vets, nurses and VCAs. We have a varied, challenging and rewarding caseload and our nurses are all team players and delight in helping each other. We have vets who are certificate holders and a nurse certificate holder.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. Our full‑time nurses work 40 hours per week with a 1:5 night duty (with accommodation on site) and a 1:6 weekend rota.

General responsibilities include:

  • Assisting our Veterinary Surgeons in theatre and consultations
  • Responsibility for inpatient care
  • Assisting with patient admits and discharges
  • Carrying out nurse consultations
