We are seeking a reliable and compassionate individual to join our home-to-school transport team as a Passenger Assistant. In this role, you will work alongside our drivers to ensure the safe and efficient transport of children to and from school. Starting September 2026 for the new school term.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist children with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle
- Ensure children are safely secured in their seats and wearing seat belts
- Monitor and manage children's behaviour during the journey
- Provide assistance to children with special educational needs or disabilities
- Communicate with parents and guardians as needed
Qualifications and skills:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in potentially stressful situations
- Reliability and punctuality
- A positive and caring attitude towards children
Training and certification: Enhanced DBS, First Aid, Safeguarding and Disability Awareness certificates are required for this role. If you do not currently have these certifications, we will provide training and support to obtain them.
Schedule and benefits: We offer a flexible part-time schedule, with morning and afternoon shifts available to accommodate school schedules.
