My client who works closely with the Airport and operates workshops inside the Airport is looking for a Vehicle Parts Manager / Store Manager for their site in Heathrow. This role would be a Maternity Cover role.
Location: Heathrow
Salary: £38,000 pa
Hours of work: 08:00am - 16:00pm OR 09:00am - 17:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Manage vehicle parts required for the various vehicles on the fleet and third-party vehicles.
- Manage stock in sites and AOF workshops.
- Manage contractual contractors for parts supplies.
- Manage paperwork and book parts to jobs in an accurate manner.
- Administration duties, supporting the Head of Fleet Engineering, Workshop manager and workshop chargehands.
- Order PPE.
- Use of IT management tools.
- Liaise with third party contractors on a day-to-day basis.
- Oversee telephone enquiries professionally.
- Ensure KPI’S and SLA’S are achieved in accordance with HAL contractual requirements.
- Oversee vehicle warranty claims and associated issues.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations, including month end reporting.
- Highlight as required any specific issues to the Head of Fleet Engineering.
- Order office stationery and depot supplies.
- Engage effectively with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders, adopting a professional and courteous approach.
- Remain responsive to the changing needs of daily activities acting in a proactive and efficient manner.
Experience & Skills Competencies:
- Monitor adherence to all relevant safety and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety and legislative compliance.
- Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
- Excellent team player who is able to work independently as required.
- Experience in a fast-paced fleet environment.
- Experience of LGV/fleet compliance and automotive environments.
- Able to multi-task and use own initiative.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Good working knowledge of freeway and Microsoft packages.
