Location: Daventry
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 pa DOE plus OTE
Hours of work:
- Mobile HGV Tech - Monday to Friday 06:00am - 16:00pm - No Weekends Required
- Workshop HGV Tech - Monday to Friday 08:00am - 18:00pm - No Weekends Required
Role for the Mobile HGV Technician:
- Attending customer sites to diagnose and repair HGV defects and faults
- Providing onsite diagnostics, inspections, and minor to medium repairs
- MOT preparation, defect rectification, and compliance-related work
- Supporting customers with vehicle uptime and roadworthiness
- Completing accurate job cards and service documentation
- Carrying out workshop-based servicing and repairs as required
Role for the HGV Technician:
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs to a high standard
- MOT preparation, inspections, and defect rectification
- Advanced diagnostics and fault-finding using modern diagnostic equipment
- Onsite mobile support for breakdowns and fleet assistance as required
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance standards
- Maintaining accurate job cards and workshop documentation
Skills and Requirements:
- Fully skilled HGV Technician with strong diagnostic capability
- Relevant technical qualifications
- C+E licence preferred (not essential)
- Comfortable working independently in a mobile environment
- Professional, customer-focused approach
- Organised and capable of managing workload across multiple sites
- Confident in diagnostics, MOT prep, and defect rectification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude when providing mobile and onsite support
