My Client operates nationwide with vehicle workshops and vehicle hire sites throughout the UK. They provide various options for Vehicle Hire, Accident Management and Maintenance Services from their workshops and mobile technicians.
The role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and fully qualified Vehicle Technician in the workshop. The workshop provides servicing, general maintenance, MOT preparation, MOT’s, PMI’s and PDI’s as well as Warranty work, roadside breakdowns, tyres and off-site repair work. The role will include but is not limited to:
- Responsibility for routine servicing and repairs; brakes; gearbox and clutch repairs/replacements; electronic and mechanical fault finding; electrics and all other duties associated with this role
- Pre-MOT investigations and MOT Testing
- Completing all work assigned daily, ensuring adherence to company and manufacturer standards and agreed time constraints
- Completing all necessary diagnostic analyses on vehicles as laid down by company and vehicle specifications
- Ensuring that work is always to the highest standard, seeking to achieve consistently high customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Carry out and complete administrative tasks including all worksheets, recording hours, parts used, job and defect sheets
- Presenting a positive company image through professionalism and quality of service
- Maintain good working relationship with clients
- Updating the workshop coordinator with progress on jobs and any additional rectification work required
- Workload prioritisation with accurate and timely completion of paperwork
- Promotes and follows a robust H&S culture
Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years’ maintenance technician experience
- Ideally have experience working on Vans/Light Commercials
- Experience of inspection, repair, and service of LCV vehicles
- Qualified to City and Guilds 1 + 2 + 3 or NVQ level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician Qualification
- Qualified MOT Tester is desirable
