HGV SHIFT SUPERVISOR Fantastic opportunity for an HGV Technician with some supervisory experience to step up and become a Shift Supervisor. Location for the HGV Shift Supervisor / HGV Technician / HGV Workshop Foreman / HGV Workshop Controller / Workshop Supervisor / HGV Mechanic / Charge Hand / HGV Senior Technician / LGV Technician / Fleet Mechanic: Near Witham Essex Salary for the HGV Shift Supervisor / HGV Technician / HGV Workshop Foreman / HGV Workshop Controller / Workshop Supervisor / HGV Mechanic / Charge Hand / HGV Senior Technician / LGV Technician / Fleet Mechanic: £48,000.00 – £50,000.00 basic pa plus Overtime (Negotiable) Hours of work: 42.5 hours a week – Earlies and late shifts alternating weekly Week 1) Monday to Friday – 06:00am to 15:00pm Week 2) Monday to Friday – 14:00pm to 23:00pm Alternate Saturday mornings are paid at Overtime rate My client, a successful, established company, are looking a HGV Shift Supervisor for their depot based near Witham in Essex. As the HGV Shift Supervisor / HGV Technician / HGV Workshop Foreman / HGV Workshop Controller / Workshop Supervisor / HGV Mechanic / Charge Hand / HGV Senior Technician / LGV Technician / Fleet Mechanic you will have up to date HGV Technician knowledge within the commercial motor industry. This is a semi productive position therefore applicants must be skilled and experienced at; MOT preparation, repairing, diagnosing, servicing and maintaining heavy goods vehicles to a high standard. Duties for the HGV Shift Supervisor / HGV Technician / HGV Workshop Foreman / HGV Workshop Controller / Workshop Supervisor / HGV Mechanic / Charge Hand / HGV Senior Technician / LGV Technician / Fleet Mechanic will include: • Supervising a shift of HGV Technicians and ensuring staff discipline is maintained. • Issuing work to Technicians and providing technical support to your team. • Managing shift effectively and proactively improving shift productivity. • Ensuring excellent quality standards are achieved. • Maintaining and managing customer expectations. • Ensuring good housekeeping and all health and safety processes are always adhered too. Essential Requirements: • Good technical knowledge, candidates should hold a relevant motor vehicle qualification. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Excellent organisational skills. • Be confident in dealing with customers and ensuring the provision of the highest level of customer service. • Polite telephone manner. • Have a positive and flexible outlook. • The ability to work under pressure and achieve targets. • HGV Class 1 or 2 licence essential for the role.
