Benefits: Competitive hourly rate or salary (based on experience) 20 days holiday plus bank holidays 2/3 days gifted by the Company for Christmas/New Year Early Friday finish time of 3.00pm, for all employees Bonus Scheme- In Place for hourly paid Production/Workshop employees Overtime available- In Place for hourly paid Production/Workshop employees Free on-site Parking Convenient location, close to food outlets, green space & parks Company team events Life Assurance Scheme Pension Scheme Training and development opportunities Key Responsibilities of the Plant Fitter / Trailer Fitter / Body Fitter / Plant Body Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Fitter / HGV Fitter / Commercial Vehicle Body Builder / Plant Body Builder: General Fitting, performing cutting, grinding, and general mechanical fitting to construct or repair structural components Fit power packs, PTOs, and manual control levers as needed Follow instructions and work from technical drawings as part of the assembly process Hydraulics, fitting rams, hoses, couplings and control valves Connect and route hydraulic lines based on schematics Troubleshoot, fix and repair hydraulic faults Electrics, reading and following wiring diagrams Air pneumatics, read and follow air logic, pneumatic schematics, and mechanical blueprints Responsible for the quality output within your respective area/department Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and follows the relevant specifications in line with drawings and build instructions Act as the main point of contact between shop floor, production teams and management Provide daily up-dates on progress, issues and resource/material shortages or re-work requirements Responsible for health and safety within respective area/team Essential Experience & Qualifications for the Plant Fitter / Trailer Fitter / Body Fitter / Plant Body Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Fitter / HGV Fitter / Commercial Vehicle Body Builder / Plant Body Builder: Experience in heavy vehicle / plant body building, welding, or mechanical fitting is advantage but not essential, (full training will be provided) Proficiency in use of hand/power tools High attention to detail with experience following designs and instructions Good understanding of Hydraulics, full training will be provided Good understanding of Electrical systems, full training will be provided Good understanding of Air pneumatics systems, full training will be provided Enjoy working under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining safety standards Able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels Enthusiastic and committed to providing an outstanding product Flexible in approach and able to understand and follow instructions Be self-motivated and willing to work within a team, strong collaboration skills Able to effectively ‘trouble shoot’ problems to resolve manufacturing obstacles If this sounds like a role that suits you then please send your CV to Danica Baker at Sprint Recruitment
