Different roles available for Workshop Based Technician, Service Van Technicians and Mobile Technicians.
Locations available for different roles - including Sussex, Kent, Middlesex, London, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire.
Hours - 3 Options Available:
- Option One: Workshop Technicians
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Optional Saturday work and overtime - Option Two: Rotating Early and Late Shift Service Van Technician
Rotating early shift (start at 7 AM) and late shift (finish at 9 PM)
Primarily workshop-based
Early shift: Attend customer depot for pre-start
Late Shift: Attend customer depot for defect repair (average 2 hours per night)
Option to work day shift and defect clinic at an overtime rate
Company van, mobile phone, and usual company benefits provided for travel and communication - Option Three: Fully Mobile Commercial Vehicle Technician
Primarily attending breakdowns throughout the day
Occasional on-site servicing/inspections (very rare)
On-call rotation available - Negotiable
The role:
- Carrying out scheduled servicing inspection and preparation for testing as required for all fleet vehicles (HGV to LCV, Trailers and vehicles)
- Undertaking regular safety inspections of HGV's in accordance with the statutory requirements to maintain Goods Vehicle Operators Licence and repair defects as necessary.
- Inspecting vehicles to diagnose faults (mechanical/electrical/hydraulic) and repair as necessary.
- Completing all necessary records relating to the inspection, service and repair of all fleet items in accordance with statutory and administrative requirements.
- Liaising with colleagues, vehicle operatives and managers to prioritise workload, organise replacement parts and/or specialist support when required.
Required:
- Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician / However level 2 or Time Served will also be considered
- HGV licence is an advantage
- Diagnostic experience is an advantage
- Full UK Driving Licence especially for mobile roles
