A welcoming and friendly mainstream primary school in Featherstone, Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join their team from 13th April 2026 through to July 2026, covering a maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on full class responsibility within a supportive 1 form entry school that prides itself on its nurturing ethos and strong community feel.

The Role

  • Full class teacher responsibilities including planning, preparation, assessment and reporting

  • Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, parents and senior leaders
  • Tracking progress and ensuring all children are supported to reach their full potential

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Early Years / Reception
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • A nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
