The Industrial Door Electrician is responsible for the electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial and commercial door systems — including roller shutters, sectional overhead doors, high-speed doors, and automated gates/barriers.

This role ensures all electrical works meet BS EN 13241, PUWER, and HSE safety compliance standards, supporting Sprint Door Systems’ commitment to reliability, performance, and customer safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair electrical components of industrial door systems, including motors, control panels, sensors, and safety devices.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and carry out reactive repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Wire and test 3-phase and single-phase systems.
  • Integrate electrical and mechanical systems during new installations.
  • Conduct fault-finding, continuity testing, and insulation resistance checks.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and represent the company professionally on all customer sites.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience with industrial or commercial electrical systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience working with industrial door, shutter, or gate systems.
  • Competitive salary (based on experience).
