The Industrial Door Electrician is responsible for the electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial and commercial door systems — including roller shutters, sectional overhead doors, high-speed doors, and automated gates/barriers.
This role ensures all electrical works meet BS EN 13241, PUWER, and HSE safety compliance standards, supporting Sprint Door Systems’ commitment to reliability, performance, and customer safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair electrical components of industrial door systems, including motors, control panels, sensors, and safety devices.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out reactive repairs efficiently and safely.
- Wire and test 3-phase and single-phase systems.
- Integrate electrical and mechanical systems during new installations.
- Conduct fault-finding, continuity testing, and insulation resistance checks.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and represent the company professionally on all customer sites.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Proven experience with industrial or commercial electrical systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience working with industrial door, shutter, or gate systems.
- Competitive salary (based on experience).
