About the School
At Springwood Primary School we are constantly striving to create the best learning opportunities for every pupil. We aim to provide a specialist, high quality, relevant and balanced education for pupils with SEND aged 5-11. We are seeking to appoint a number of Level 1 Teaching Assistants to join our ever-expanding team on a permanent basis. Springwood is a large primary age special school (380 pupils aged 5-11) based over five sites, which caters for pupils with moderate, severe and complex needs.
Applicants Should be:
- Interested in supporting primary age children with complex needs to achieve their potential.
- Committed to ensuring that all our pupils are included and supported to develop whatever their special educational needs or behaviour challenges.
- Able to work as part of a team to provide an appropriate learning environment for our pupils.
- Eager to learn new skills and participate in your own professional development.
Previous experience of working with young people of school age who may present with challenging behaviour and complex needs, preferably within an educational setting.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited into school to undertake a class based task, an ICT task and a panel interview.
