THE ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (Grade 2) to support our educational team in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for children. This role involves assisting teachers in delivering educational content and ensuring the well‑being of students. Other duties include:

Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of each child.

Provide individual support to students, especially those with special educational needs, ensuring they are engaged and included in all activities.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and communication.

Communicate effectively with pupils to promote understanding and learning, using appropriate methods

Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment, ensuring all materials are organised and accessible.

Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to monitor student progress and share insights on individual needs.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

GCSE Math's and English or a good level of numeracy and literacy skills
-
Experience or interest in working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
-
A genuine passion for educating and nurturing pupils with a SEMH need
-
Ability to relate to children and younger people to build positive relationships
SALARY/ HOURS
Starting salary for a grade 2 Teaching Assistant is £19,825 actual annual salary (FTE £25,614) working 33 hours per week.
This role is Mon‑Fri, term time only + 5 inset days.
We will consider both full and part time applicants. Please note, part time applicants need to commit to a minimum of 2 days per week, working consecutively.
