Springwell Learning Community is the umbrella name for Springwell Special Academy and Springwell Alternative Academy. Springwell Alternative Academy works in partnership with local primary and secondary schools to provide alternative education pathways/day 6 provision. This role will be based in Kendray.

THE ROLE
As a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant (TA2), you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships, and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This includes:
- Assisting the lead in class by implementing relevant educational activities tailored to the needs of each child.
- Providing individual support to students, especially those with special educational needs, ensuring they are engaged and included in all activities.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and communication.
- Communicating effectively with pupils to promote understanding and learning, using appropriate methods.
- Maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment, ensuring all materials are organised and accessible.
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to monitor student progress and share insights on individual needs.
THE CANDIDATE
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
- Experience or interest in working with children/young people with SEN/SEMH needs.
- Ability to relate to children and younger people to build positive relationships.
SALARY/HOURS
Starting salary for a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant is £19,192 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust.
