Support Worker - Part Time in Chard

We are a small, family-run care home in Chard, supporting five adults with learning disabilities to develop and maintain their daily living skills in a warm, “home from home” environment.

We are looking to welcome two new part time Support Workers to our friendly team.

About the Role

You’ll be supporting our residents with everyday activities — helping to promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing. Full induction and ongoing training will be provided, including DBS checks and all required care training through Springside.

Hourly rate:From £12.21 per hour (with potential increase depending on training and experience). The sleep‑in rate is a set amount per night.

Typical hours include:

• Monday: 08:30 – 19:00 (10.5 hrs)

• Tuesday: 16:00 – 19:00 (3 hrs)

• Wednesday: 15:00 – 19:00 (4 hrs)

• Thursday: 15:00 – 19:00 (4 hrs)

• Friday: 08:30 – 18:00 (9.5 hrs)

• Two Sundays per month: 09:00 – 18:00 (9 hrs each)

• One weekend per month including two sleep‑in duties

Average of around 22 hours per week.
