Springpack is a well-established UK supplier of protective packaging solutions. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. This newly created role offers excellent exposure across financial accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in finance.
What you'll be doing:
- Bank reconciliations and cash postings.
- Support month-end accounting including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
- Prepare VAT returns and process employee expenses.
- Assist with audit preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Process customer invoices, cash allocation and credit control support.
- Process supplier invoices and payments.
- Set up new customer and supplier accounts.
- Provide cover across Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable when required.
What we're looking for:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive team player with a willingness to learn.
- Experience in finance administration, bookkeeping or ledger work.
- AAT Level 2 or studying towards AAT is desirable.
- ERP or finance system experience (e.g. Sage, SAP, Oracle, Epicor) is advantageous but not essential.
