The predicted salary is between 10 - 12 £ per hour.
Throughout the year we have various vacancies across our network of retail shops including shop floor vacancies working on the till, merchandising and window displays, and back office vacancies to help with sorting and pricing.
Desired skills and experience
Our Sales Assistant Volunteers are the first point of contact for customers when they enter our shop. You will be greeting customers, helping them find the items they’re looking for and answering their questions, with help on hand from the shop team. You will provide invaluable help in the running of the shop, keeping it stocked and attractively displayed.
General responsibilities and duties:
- Helping customers on the shop floor and providing good all-round customer service.
- Serving at the till, processing sales and using the till.
- Replenishing stock on the shop floor.
- Keeping the shop tidy, clean, and well organised.
- Receive delivery of donations, ensuring the Gift Aid on Donated Goods scheme is promoted and sign-ups recorded accurately.
- Helping your fellow volunteers and staff with customer queries.
- Promoting public understanding of the work of Springhill Hospice, including our campaigns and any in-store promotions to customers.
- Assist with visual merchandising of the window and shop displays to make them look their best.
