The Springfield Group are recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join our team based in Elgin. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in supporting the group across multiple office and site locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for IT issues via ticketing system, phone, email, and in person.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network problems.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Support Windows desktops, laptops, and Office 365 applications.
- Log and track support requests using our helpdesk system.
- Escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Assist with routine system checks and updates.
Skills & Experience
- Basic experience in IT (e.g. troubleshooting PCs, printers, software).
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Understanding of user account management and basic networking.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and document work clearly.
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- Experience with Active Directory or Group Policy.
- Exposure to Office 365 admin tools.
- Microsoft certifications.
- Interest in progressing to 2nd line support.
