The Springfield Group are recruiting for a highly motivated manager to support our safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) group function. Reporting to our Group SHEQ Director, this full-time position can be based in either our Inverness or Elgin office.
About the Role
This role offers an excellent opportunity to engage with key internal stakeholders to ensure Group SHEQ policies, procedures and documentation are in place for all employees, sub-contractors and anyone else affected by our operations, including safe systems of work, and site-specific risk assessments, ensuring as a minimum best practice. You will be responsible for ensuring the company meets its statutory obligations in all areas of health, safety and welfare, providing competent information, guidance and advice as required. You will also identify and mitigate potential risks for the Group by visiting our sites across the Highlands and Moray, auditing health and safety performance and highlighting areas for continual improvement.
About You
- Previous experience in the house building industry and/or construction.
- Previous experience of health and safety, environmental or quality system auditing.
- Committed to delivering a professional, quality service.
- Able to work with our site management teams to continually improve our processes and be proactive in offering support on safety and quality standards within the workplace.
- Committed to promoting a positive health and safety culture and providing guidance across the business will be key areas of the role.
- Strong communicator who can engage with colleagues and provide clear advice verbally and within written reports and presentations.
- Site locations are in Highland/Moray, however ability to travel out with these regions as and when required.
