The Springfield Group are recruiting for an assistant to provide essential support to our Commercial/Quantity Surveying team in Elgin. Reporting to our Commercial Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the business, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of sub-contractor payments and supporting the wider commercial function.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing sub-contractor applications for payment in line with agreed terms and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records of payments, variations and supporting documentation.
- Assisting with the preparation of tender documentation.
- Issuing of payment notices and remittance advice.
- Liaising with Quantity Surveyors, site teams and sub-contractors to resolve queries.
- Updating internal systems and spreadsheets with commercial and financial data.
- General administrative support to the Commercial team, including filing, data entry and correspondence.
About you
- We are looking for candidates educated to SCQF level 6 or with relevant skills and experience in an administrative role (construction or commercial environment desirable but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Well organised, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Clear communicator with a professional, collaborative approach.
This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week in an open plan office environment Monday to Friday. We value our people and offer a benefits package designed to support wellbeing. This includes private healthcare, free gym membership and a company pension.
