We are seeking a Catering Manager to lead the day-to-day running of a busy school kitchen that provides 200+ meals per day for our pupils. Our ideal candidate will have experience in catering or food preparation, be qualified in Food Hygiene, is organised, reliable and able to manage a small team.

Duties include:

  • Cooking and serving hot and cold lunches
  • Supervising kitchen staff
  • Ordering supplies
  • Keeping compliant with health and safety regulations

This is a proactive role where you will be responsible for cooking tasty nutritious meals in line with Essex County Council guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create school menus in line with ECC guidance
  • Prepare, cook and serve meals to our pupils
  • Comply with allergy regulations
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in line with Health & Safety
  • Order and manage supplies and stock levels
  • Uphold food safety standards
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff
  • Accurate record keeping

Hours: 8am - 13.45pm Monday - Friday

LGPS Scale 5 point 10-13
