We are looking to employ a full-time experienced CNC Miller/Turner, offering excellent progression opportunities for the right candidate. As a CNC Miller/Turner you will be able to program, set up & operate CNC milling machines, CNC vertical machining centres & CNC lathes with both bar feed equipment & single oping using a 3 jaw power chuck. You will be manufacturing small to medium production batches of machined/turned parts also assisting our in house toolroom with the manufacture of 1 off press tool components. Key Responsibilities of a CNC Miller/Turner * Competent in programming & operating CNC machinery * Knowledge of CADCAM software, preferable Fanuc, Accurite Millpwr & Heidenhain TNC 410 * Knowledge of machining metals & engineering plastics * Ensure that the machines & work area are clean & tidy * Carryout machine preventive maintenance * Ensure that safe working practices are adopted * Any other reasonable request by a manager or Director Essential Skills & Experience for a CNC Miller/Turner * Experience in CNC programming * Experience in milling, machining & turning * Able to work from engineering drawings * Good organizational skills * Ability to work under minimum supervision * Ability to work independently or as part of a team * Ability to work under pressure * Self – motivated individual * Possess excellent attention to detail Benefits for a CNC Miller/Turner * 20 days of annual leave (+Bank holidays & Christmas holidays) * Pension Scheme * 38.5working hours: 07.30 – 16.30 (Monday to Thursday) & 07.30 – 12.00 (Friday), 30min lunchbreak & 2 x 15 min tea breaks * Overtime @ x 1.5 hourly rate * Salary £30k to £32k per Anum
