About you
You would be an experienced Nursing Assistant (Senior Care Assistant level 3). Whilst being reliable and trustworthy, you would be able to work as part of a team & unsupervised. As a forward thinker, you would be self-motivated and able to motivate and lead a team of care assistants. Showing leadership skills, you would be able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to ad hoc situations. Showing patience, empathy and care, you would be able to communicate with others using both oral and written skills.
Main Purpose of the Job
Nursing Assistants provide an essential role in contributing to the smooth running of our homes for older people. Our Nursing staff lead on the social care and support for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Home Manager, you would be responsible for allocating duties to a team of Health Care Assistants.
- Acting as a role model in the delivery and promotion of best practice at all times.
- Providing personal care to our residents and supporting with their nutrition, mobility and well-being.
- Undertaking clinical tasks such as checking blood sugar levels, changing simple dressings, PEG feeding, medication administration, basic observations and catheter care. This list is not exhaustive.
Typical Shift Patterns for Night Contracts
8pm until 8am
