Brockhampton Court – Nursing Assistant Days – 36 hours
About you
You would be an experienced Nursing Assistant (Senior Care Assistant level 3). While being reliable and trustworthy, you would be able to work as part of a team and unsupervised. As a forward thinker, you would be self-motivated and able to motivate and lead a team of care assistants. Showing leadership skills, you would be able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to ad hoc situations. Showing patience, empathy and care, you would be able to communicate with others using both oral and written skills.
Main Purpose of the Job
Nursing Assistants provide an essential role in contributing to the smooth running of our homes for older people. Our Nursing staff lead on the social care and support for our residents.
Reporting to the Home Manager, you would be responsible for allocating duties to a team of Health Care Assistants – acting as a role model in the delivery and promotion of best practice at all times. You would also help to provide personal care to our residents and support with their nutrition, mobility and well-being.
Once assessed as competent under the guidance of the Home Manager, a Nursing Assistant would also be required to undertake clinical tasks which may include:
- Checking blood sugar levels
- Change a simple dressings
- PEG feeding
- Medication administration
- Basic Observations
- Catheter care

- 8am until 8pm
- 8am until 2pm
- 2pm until 8pm
