The role involves taking pride in ensuring that all standards of cleanliness, infection control and laundry are carried out to a high standard. Everyday can be different within a care environment, some of the daily activities that our housekeeping team carry out are:
- General cleaning and tidying of communal areas and our residents' bedrooms
- Hoovering, cleaning bathrooms and carrying out deep cleans
- Laundry of resident's clothes, bedding and other items
- Assisting the kitchen team
Our housekeeping team generally work between the hours of 8am until 8pm, and could be a mix of morning, afternoon or a long day shift. Actual hours of work would be discussed during your interview. Typical shift patterns for a day shift would be:
- 8am until 8pm
- 8am until 2pm
- 2pm until 8pm
Experience in a similar role is not essential; as we will support and provide you with full training.
