Management Accountant
Location: Head Office (Whitchurch, Shropshire)
Hours: 37.5 per week
We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our Head Office Finance team in Whitchurch. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to develop within a busy, growing organisation and gain exposure across a broad range of management accounting activities. This would suit someone currently working at Assistant Management Accountant or Management Accountant level who is looking to broaden their experience and continue their professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Preparation of management information and performance reports
- Assisting with budgets, forecasts and cash flow
- Supporting the year-end audit and preparation of financial information
- Investigating financial variances and working with operational teams
- Supporting improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting
- Assisting with ad-hoc finance projects as required
What We're Looking For:
- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA or actively studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
- Strong accounting knowledge and a solid understanding of financial principles.
- Good Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and work confidently with financial data.
- Highly organised and accurate, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- A curious and analytical approach, with the confidence toinvestigate and understand figures rather than simply produce them.
