The predicted salary is between 11 - 13 £ per hour.

You will be required to cover shifts at our nursing homes across Shropshire, Cheshire & Wirral. Free transport to and from work is provided by the company.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed team member to join our kitchen team. We are a family run group of Residential and Nursing homes in Shropshire, Cheshire and The Wirral and we want you to join our Springcare family. About you:

  • You will be positive, enthusiastic, and professional and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure our residents receive high quality service.
  • We need someone who is self-motivated and has excellent communication skills.

Desired but not essential:

  • Food and hygiene certificate
  • Previous experience in a similar role; however, training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation and serving of hot and cold meals.
  • Assisting the head cook to ensure that food is prepared in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
  • Helping to keep the kitchen area and equipment clean and to the standard for food hygiene.
  • Under guidance of head cook, maintaining accurate records of food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures.
  • Being aware of varied preferences and dietary requirements of individual residents.

Successful applicants would require two written references, a standard/enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) (depending on role) and evidence of a right to work in the UK check.
