Springbok Properties is expanding its in-house content and creative team. We are building a serious, performance-driven content engine across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and paid advertising — and we are looking for a highly capable Video Editor & Producer to help lead that growth. This is not just an editing role. You will be involved from concept to completion — shaping ideas, supporting shoots, and turning raw footage into strategic marketing content that performs. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants ownership, creative influence, and measurable impact.
You will work closely with our marketing team to:
- Develop video concepts aligned with clear marketing objectives
- Brainstorm hooks, angles, and campaign themes
- Create simple storyboards and pre‑shoot structures
- Support shoot days (creative input, framing, direction assistance)
- Edit long‑form YouTube content
- Produce Shorts, Reels, and TikTok vertical edits
- Create paid ad creatives for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
- Repurpose content into variations, hooks, and cut‑downs
- Maintain consistent brand tone and visual quality
We are building scale — and quality matters at every stage.
What We’re Looking For — Video Editor & Producer
We are not looking for someone who simply cuts footage together. You must understand:
- Hook psychology (first 2–3 seconds)
- Story structure — tension and payoff
- Retention and pacing techniques
- The difference between organic content and paid ads
- Platform nuance (YouTube ≠ TikTok ≠ Reels ≠ Ads)
- Marketing intent — content must drive engagement and conversion, not just views
You should be confident making creative decisions and suggesting improvements — not waiting for instructions for every detail. If you think like both a storyteller and a marketer, this role will suit you.
Skills & Experience — Video Editor & Producer
- Proven experience editing both long‑form and short‑form marketing content
- Strong capability in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or Adobe After Effects
- Experience developing storyboards and pre‑shoot planning
- Comfortable assisting on shoots (direction support is a strong advantage)
- Skilled in captions, motion graphics, sound design, and pacing
- Experience producing performance‑driven ad creatives
- Strong attention to detail and visual judgement
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
- Clear communication and collaborative mindset
- Based in or willing to relocate to Manchester (this is an onsite role)
Portfolio Requirement (For Successful Candidates)
If successful, you will be expected to provide a portfolio including:
- Long‑form YouTube videos you have edited
- Short‑form vertical content (Reels / Shorts / TikTok)
- Paid ad creatives (strongly preferred)
- Examples where you contributed to concept or storyboard (if applicable)
You may also be asked to briefly explain:
- Why your hook works
- How you structured the story and pacing
- What marketing objective the video was designed to achieve
