The Role

As a European Road Freight Operator, you'll take full ownership of international road freight shipments from start to finish, ensuring every movement is handled efficiently while delivering an outstanding level of customer service. Working closely with customers, hauliers, overseas partners and internal teams, you'll coordinate European import and export shipments, ensuring deadlines are met and operations run smoothly from collection through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage European road freight shipments from booking through to final delivery.
  • Coordinate both import and export road freight movements across Europe.
  • Liaise daily with customers, hauliers, overseas agents and transport partners.
  • Arrange collections, deliveries and route planning.
  • Prepare and process all operational documentation, including customs paperwork where required.
  • Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers.
  • Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure all shipments are completed accurately and in line with company procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone with previous experience in European Road Freight who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering a first-class service. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in European Road Freight Operations.
  • Experience managing import and export shipments from start to finish.
  • A strong understanding of European road freight processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a team-focused approach.
