We are looking for an Export Operator with experience in Sea Exports, based in Greater Manchester. This role is working for a well-established company with an excellent benefits package. Immediate interview available for the right candidate.
In this role, you'll be responsible for managing end to end shipments for regular customers. The main bulk of the work is with a complex client so we are looking for someone with strong experience in freight forwarding.
Main duties to include:
- Managing exports for regular clients
- Obtaining the best prices from carriers and negotiating rates
- Ensuring customers have the correct solution that meets their needs
- Ensure all shipments have the correct documentation
- Planning routes and booking with hauliers and carriers
- Update customers and carriers with any changes
- Resolve queries relating to lost, damaged or delayed shipments
- Raise invoices and issue quotations
We are looking for:
- Experience of managing exports
- Knowledge of sea freight
- Experience in a freight forwarder or similar business
- Excellent communication skills
- Someone who is organised and sees tasks through to completion
- Ability to work to deadlines
