We're recruiting for an experienced Road Freight Operator to join a large, global freight forwarding business in Manchester. This is a great opportunity to join an established company with a friendly, supportive team who genuinely get on well and enjoy working together. They're looking for someone with a strong background in road freight forwarding who can manage shipments efficiently, deliver excellent customer service and work well within a busy operations team. The Role Manage road freight shipments from booking through to final delivery Coordinate UK and European road freight movements Liaise with hauliers, overseas agents, suppliers and customers Arrange groupage, part load and full load shipments Prepare and process transport documentation Monitor shipments and provide regular updates to customers Resolve operational issues and ensure deliveries are completed efficiently Maintain accurate shipment records and deliver excellent customer service What We're Looking For Previous experience in road freight operations within a freight forwarding environment Good understanding of UK and European road freight processes Experience arranging groupage, part load and full load shipments Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritise a busy workload A proactive, solutions-focused approach A positive team player who enjoys working in a friendly, collaborative environment What's on Offer Salary up to £34,000, depending on experience Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 from home Friendly, welcoming team and a great working environment Opportunity to join a large, established global business Supportive colleagues and management How to Apply If you're an experienced Road Freight Operator looking for a new opportunity with a friendly team, a supportive working environment and the flexibility of hybrid working, we'd love to hear from you.
