We are looking for a Road Freight Operator based in Leeds with experience in European road freight. This role involves managing end-to-end shipments for a wide range of customers and is working for a freight forwarder in Leeds. They are open to candidates with either import or export experience.

In this role, you will liaise with customers and overseas agents, plan loads, and raise import/export documentation for shipments from the UK to Europe. We are looking for someone who has a working knowledge of export documentation and knowledge of road freight.

This is a family-run business, and their Leeds office has a small, friendly team with excellent staff retention.

Main duties include:

  • Liaising with customers and overseas agents
  • Planning loads and liaising with hauliers
  • Completing export documentation and ensuring a smooth transition from UK ports
  • Providing customer service

We are looking for:

  • Experience of working in road freight and groupage would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of export documentation for UK to Europe
  • Good communication skills
