We are looking for a Road Freight Operator for our client based in Bradford. This role involves managing the full journey for the transportation of goods to and from Europe via road. This role requires someone with previous experience in freight forwarding, ideally European Road. The company is friendly, successful and offers an energetic and positive work environment. There are also progression opportunities available for the right person, this is a growing branch and they are exceeding targets.
Main duties to include:
- Manage shipments for a wide range of customers, building relationships and ensuring repeat business
- Book pricing shipments between the UK and Europe
- Build relationships with carriers and obtain the best prices
- Ensure all shipments have the correct documentation and customs entries
- Keep customers informed of any changes to delivery dates or issues
- Monitor shipments to ensure safe arrival
- Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure repeat business
We are looking for:
- Experience in a Freight Forwarder
- Experience in Road Freight
- Ideally, experience of CDSA problem solver, someone who keeps calm under pressure and finds solutions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong relationship building and customer service skills
